Overview
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality environment, where organisational skills and guest relations are paramount. Previous hotel experience is essential to enhance guest interactions and communication. This is a casual contract as and when required.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage reservations efficiently using the hotel management system
- Provide accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions
- Handle guest enquiries via telephone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction
- Process payments accurately and maintain detailed records of transactions
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms meet quality standards
- Maintain a tidy reception area that reflects the hotel’s standards of hospitality
- Uphold health and safety protocols to protect guests and staff
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel reception is preferred; additional training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for communicating with diverse guests
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrating professional phone etiquette
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest services best practices is desirable
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently

Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
