Care Assistant – Home Care & Supported Living Services
Job Summary
Sycamore Care is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Assistants to join our growing team providing high-quality Home Care and Supported Living services across Suffolk and the surrounding areas. This rewarding role involves supporting individuals to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes and supported living environments.
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of the people we support. You will provide person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs, preferences, and goals while promoting choice, respect, and inclusion.
**Please note:** This role does not offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship upon commencement of employment. Any sponsorship opportunities will only be considered after the successful completion of a minimum three-month probationary period, subject to performance, business needs, and eligibility requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Support individuals with mobility, transfers, and daily living activities.
* Assist with meal preparation, nutrition, hydration, and medication support where required.
* Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans, risk assessments, and company policies.
* Promote independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing at all times.
* Support individuals to access the community, attend appointments, and participate in social activities.
* Maintain accurate and timely care records using electronic care management systems.
* Monitor and report any changes in a client's physical, emotional, or mental wellbeing.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
* Ensure safeguarding principles are upheld and concerns are reported appropriately.
* Contribute positively as part of a professional and supportive care team.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in home care, supported living, or residential care is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A caring, compassionate, and patient approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative while also working effectively as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills for recording care notes and communicating with colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required due to the community-based nature of the role.

Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour
