Role: Senior Estimator

Hours: Full Time, Permanent
Pay: £50k + Negotiable dependant upon experience plus 2 annual bonuses
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a growing construction business. This Senior Estimator role is ideal for someone with strong main contractor experience who enjoys working across multiple projects, preparing accurate cost estimates and influencing tender success.

The Role:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates from first principles for construction projects
- Produce accurate quotations from drawings and specifications
- Complete take-offs and measure quantities from technical drawings
- Build rates and pricing for bills of quantities (BOQ)
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
- Manage multiple tenders at various stages simultaneously
- Work closely with senior management on tender reviews and pricing strategy
- Attend client meetings, pre- and post-contract reviews
- Handover successful tenders to delivery teams
This Senior Estimator role offers the opportunity to play a key role in tendering success within a main contractor environment, driving accurate pricing and commercial performance.
The Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Senior Estimator or Estimator with a main contractor (essential)
- Strong understanding of construction estimating, take-offs and BOQ pricing
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience liaising with suppliers and subcontractors during tender stages
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
