About the Role
We’re looking for flexible team members to support our busy deli counter - the heart of Hunters of Helmsley.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role, especially during lunchtime and the summer months. You’ll be helping serve customers, prepare food, and keep everything running smoothly during our busiest periods.
Working Hours
- Typically 11:00am – 3:00pm
- Shifts available across the week (including weekends)
- Consistent weekly availability is important
- Extra hours may be available during busy periods
Key Responsibilities
- Serving customers quickly and warmly
- Preparing sandwiches, salads, and deli items
- Serving ice cream during busy periods (especially in summer)
- Supporting the team during peak lunch service
- Keeping the counter clean, stocked, and well presented
- Assisting with basic prep, restocking, and organisation
- Supporting with cleaning and washing up as part of daily routines
We’re a hands-on team — everyone helps wherever needed.
Physical Requirements
This is an active and physically demanding role. Please only apply if you are comfortable with:
- Being on your feet for the full duration of your shift
- Working in a fast-paced, busy environment
- Climbing stairs regularly between floors
- Lifting and carrying boxes of stock
- Staying active and engaged throughout the shift
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willing to get stuck in
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment
- Able to work at pace during peak periods
- Good with people and confident serving customers
Experience in retail or hospitality is helpful but not essential.
