We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Provide high-quality patient care, including explaining procedures and post-treatment advice
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
- Ensure sterilisation and cleanliness of all dental instruments and work areas
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and managing patient correspondence
- Uphold health and safety standards within the practice at all times
- Offer reassurance and support to anxious or nervous patients throughout their visit
- Manage duties of a dental receptionist on rotation basis (desirable in the candidate)
Requirements
- Recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse (e.g., NEBDN or equivalent)
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Proven experience in a dental nursing role is preferred but not essential for newly qualified candidates
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software
- Compassionate approach with a focus on patient care and confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently when required
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and clinical demands
