Full time position. 38-45 hours.
A bit about you:
o At least one year’s professional experience
o Minimum of 2 year’s experience in a similar bakery or production setting
o Knowledge of mixing, bench work, hand shaping and oven work
o Experience working with sourdough, enriched doughs and viennoiserie
o Ability to work at pace to high standards

A bit about us: We believe that good things take time.
We start with the highest quality ingredients: Belgian chocolate and cocoa, fine cultured butter from Normandy, organic flour. Our emphasis is on traditional techniques and artisanal methods. Each piece of bread, every croissant and every sweet bun are shaped and loaded into the oven by hand. Every brownie is hand-finished. Many of our doughs incorporate a naturally-leavened element, from a decade-old sourdough starter maintained by our head baker, and nearly all of our bread products rely on long, slow cold fermentation over at least a 24 hour period. A croissant takes us four days to create, but we believe it’s worth it. Some things shouldn’t be rushed.
We use no improvers or preservatives. We take no short-cuts. Slowly and carefully, we make these into baked goods that reflect our vision: that great bread should be a serious pleasure, that there are few things in life as wonderful as a fresh croissant, that the answer to life’s problems is often a piece of cake.
Thats our ethos and we're growing quickly, supplying our own sites and some incredible restaurants in Manchester with bread and pastry wholesale, along with looking to open a brand new bakehouse in the not too far away future. Thats where you come in...
