Job Description
We are looking for a colleague who is enthusiastic about careers education and keen to learn more about the frameworks for this in school. We have a Gatsby benchmark-compliant careers programme already in place and are now looking to build on this strong foundation and take it even further. This may be someone who has a set of transferable skills, who is keen and able to learn more about careers to work towards this goal:
· To be able to take the lead role in shaping the careers education programme at Therfield, so that students gain access to high quality careers learning, encounters and guidance that reflect the evolving of work and inspire them to make informed choices about their future pathways.
Salary
The salary range for the role is within SESSET Scale 7 £29,219 – £31,577* (£34,276 - £37,042 FTE).
*The full-time position is based on 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, which includes two days during the school holidays
We offer flexible working arrangements to suit a range of candidates.
Part-time applications are welcomed. For example, 22 hours per week, worked over 3 – 5 days per week.

Key Accountabilities
To lead and enhance the Careers provision at Therfield
· Organise and facilitate careers events across the key stages, including the Annual Careers Fair and Year group specific days linked to external partners
· Work with others to ensure compliance with the Gatsby benchmarks and complete the Compass+ survey
· Develop careers resources for use in a tutor time careers programme, including the use of Unifrog
· Attend Termly East Surrey Careers Cluster Meetings to inform the delivery of the Therfield Careers programme
· Take a lead role in the organisation of work experience for specific cohorts
· Update Careers information documents and policies
· Liaise with the PSHE lead and other colleagues to plan their contribution to careers guidance
