Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and restaurant management, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing staff, and ensuring that all beverages are prepared to the highest standards.
Duties
- Supervise and manage bar staff, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company policies.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of drinks, ensuring quality and consistency in every beverage served.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during food preparation and production times.
- Maintain inventory levels of beverages and supplies, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages.
- Train new staff members in bar operations, including drink recipes, customer service techniques, and health & safety regulations.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues or complaints promptly to enhance the guest experience.
- Develop and implement promotional strategies to increase bar sales and attract new customers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the bar area.
Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Experience managing both bar and front-of-house operations, with the ability to coordinate service teams and maintain high standards of customer service throughout the venue.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and production processes, particularly in relation to beverage service.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with bar equipment and maintenance procedures is advantageous.
- A passion for creating a vibrant atmosphere that encourages repeat business.
