Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. Previous restaurant or bar experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and beverages efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar and tables
- Take orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote specials or events
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables as required
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or food service environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and bills
- Effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing demands
- Good communication skills, including the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers
