Summary
At Carr Head Primary School, we strive to provide a welcoming, caring and safe environment where everyone feels confident and valued. Where everyone is able, through support and high expectations, to achieve and succeed. We are looking for a positive and caring person to work in 'CHUKs', our popular and successful before and after-school club. In CHUKs, our core purpose is to provide a quality service to parents/carers and children alike. It is our aim that the Out of School Club (OOSC) is not only a reliable and convenient childcare service for parents/carers, but also an enjoyable and fulfilling out of school experience for the children.
The post will initially be on a temporary basis for 15 hours per week for the following hours:
Monday to Friday: 3pm to 6pm.
The role will be reviewed towards the end of the financial year (April 2027) with a view to extending it into the next school year depending on budget.
We would like the successful candidate to be available to start work as soon as possible.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
Essential Qualifications
GCSE's grade 4 or above or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant Child Care qualification (or equivalent).
- First Aid Training
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with or caring for children of primary school age.
Desirable Experience
- Experience of working in an OOSC environment.
