We are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Weighbridge Administrator to join our operations team. This role is responsible for the efficient operation of the weighbridge system, ensuring all vehicle movements, waste documentation, invoicing processes, and reporting requirements are processed accurately and in line with company procedures and environmental legislation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site operations, maintaining accurate records, assisting with accounts and invoicing administration, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with Duty of Care responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the weighbridge system and accurately process vehicle transactions
- Produce accurate weighbridge tickets and maintain detailed records
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing waste documentation complies with legal and company requirements
- Verify waste codes and ensure correct data entry onto internal systems
- Inspect incoming waste loads and investigate discrepancies where required
- Generate administration, commercial, and operational reports
- Analyse weighbridge data and resolve ticket or system queries
- Support accounts administration including invoice processing, and reconciliation of weighbridge data where required
- Assist with maintaining accurate invoicing records and supporting finance processes
- Answer telephone enquiries professionally and direct calls appropriately
- Ensure annual waste transfer notes are maintained and up to date
- Induct visiting drivers and contractors on site rules and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve enquiries in a prompt and professional manner
- Support wider site operations and administration activities as required
About You
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced administrative or operational environment
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry systems
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
- Good customer service experience
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage changing priorities
- Experience supporting invoicing, finance administration, or accounts processes
- Understanding of waste and recycling operations or environmental legislation
Desirable
- Experience within the waste, recycling, or environmental sector
- Knowledge of Duty of Care responsibilities
- Experience using weighbridge software systems
- Experience analysing reports and operational data
- Experience using accounts or invoicing software
- Formal administration qualification
