Electrical Commissioning & Maintenance Engineer

About the Role
A leading UK company in the design, manufacture, installation, and servicing of pumping equipment is seeking a dynamic and motivated Electrical Commissioning & Maintenance Engineer to join its external site teams.
This is a varied and hands-on role, working alongside mechanical engineers to install, commission, and service pumping equipment across multiple sites. The position offers national exposure while remaining regionally focused.
Key Responsibilities

Attend sites primarily across Wales and South West England

Carry out electrical work to support mechanical installations

Assist with after-sales service and breakdown support when required

Travel and stay away from home when necessary (minimised where possible)

Maintain and improve company procedures

Complete site reports and obtain customer sign-off after each visit

Submit reports and timesheets promptly

Represent the business professionally, promoting products and services

Ensure tools and materials are prepared before attending site

Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels

Manage petty cash and company credit card responsibly

Identify personal training and development needs

Follow all health and safety policies and procedures

Undertake additional duties as required
Requirements
-
General knowledge of the engineering or pumping industry (desirable)
-
Experience in a similar role or maintenance environment

Experience with motors and/or pumps (desirable)
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
City & Guilds Level 3 – Inspection & Testing (initial and periodic)

Electrical qualification to 17th or 18th Edition (BS7671)

Confined Space Training (desirable)

First Aid Certification (desirable)

CSCS Card (desirable)
