Class 1 HGV Driver

Availability: AM & PM shifts available - Temp to Perm
About the Role
RL Recruit are looking for professional Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers to support ongoing operations in the Wigan area. We are recruiting for both full-time drivers on fixed rota patterns and ad-hoc drivers to cover holiday, sickness, and peak requirements.
Drivers will be operating modern, well-maintained units for a respected logistics operation.
Shift Patterns Available
- 4 on / 4 off rota
- 5 on / 3 off rota
- AM and PM availability
(Please note: PM drivers can’t always be guaranteed a post-16:00 start time.)
Pay Rates
DR = Day Rate (Planned start times 04:00 – 15:59)
NR = Night Rate (Planned start times 16:00 – 03:59)
Payment: PAYE
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points (subject to insurance)
- Professional, reliable and safety-focused drivers
- Ability to work within legal driving hours and complete scheduled work
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally
- Complete daily vehicle checks and follow compliance procedures
- Maintain accurate paperwork and communication
- Deliver excellent service at all points of contact
