Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need within their homes and care facilities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialised care. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to deliver high-quality patient care, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be committed to promoting independence and wellbeing. All positions are paid and require a proactive approach to caregiving.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Support with specialised care needs including Alzheimer’s, dementia, hospice, or behavioural management
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities safely and responsibly
- Respond promptly to client needs, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
- Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Follow health and safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary
Experience
- Previous experience is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration and behaviour management
- A caring attitude combined with strong organisational skills is essential for success in this role
Pay: £13.45-£20.17 per hour
