We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Truck Drivers to join our team. This position is offering consistent work, competitive pay, and varied trailer work including box trailers, refrigeration units, and curtain side trailers.
Shift Details
- Average Shift Duration: 11 hours
- Start Times:
- Evening: 16:00 – 00:00
- Morning: 02:00 – 11:00
- Movements per Shift: 2–4 trailer movements
- Trailer Types: Flatbed, Box, Refrigerated, Curtain Side
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Perform 2–4 deliveries or collections per shift.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks.
- Load and secure cargo when necessary.
- Complete and maintain delivery paperwork and logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and HGV driving regulations.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding any issues, delays, or incidents.
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
- Minimum 6 months of recent Class 1 driving experience
- Strong knowledge of UK road laws and safe driving practices
- Ability to handle physical aspects of the role, including securing loads
- Flexibility to work various start times, including nights and weekends
- Strong work ethic and reliability
