We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Supported Living team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering outstanding care, leading by example, and supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives.
The Role
As a Team Leader, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service while providing effective leadership and guidance to Support Workers. You will ensure that the people we support receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion.
You will act as a role model for the team and help ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and support a team of Support Workers.
* Ensure person-centred support is delivered in line with individual care and support plans.
* Conduct staff supervisions, observations, competency assessments, and spot checks.
* Assist with staff inductions, training, and ongoing development.
* Support with rota management and staffing allocation.
* Monitor and maintain accurate care records and documentation.
* Conduct audits and quality assurance checks.
* Support with incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.
* Promote safeguarding and ensure concerns are reported appropriately.
* Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
* Support service users to achieve their goals and maximise independence.
* Participate in the on-call rota where required.
* Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and company policies.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards Level 4/5).
* Previous experience working within Supported Living, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Autism, or Complex Care services.
* Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading care staff.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Good knowledge of safeguarding, medication management, risk assessments, and person-centred care.
* Ability to work flexibly, including some weekends and evenings.
* Competent IT skills and experience maintaining electronic care records.
Desirable
* Level 4 or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
* Experience working within a CQC-regulated environment.
* Experience conducting audits, supervisions, and staff development activities.
