Video Editor (Social Media Content)
We're looking for a creative, technically skilled, and highly reliable Video Editor to join our team and help create engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in at least one professional NLE:
Adobe Premiere Pro
Final Cut Pro
DaVinci Resolve
Working knowledge of:
Adobe After Effects
Strong understanding of short-form content and social media editing styles.
Ability to create engaging edits using transitions, motion graphics, text animations, and visual effects.
Excellent sense of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention.
Technical Requirements
Strong narrative, colour grading, visual effects and transition knowledge.
Solid knowledge of codecs, compression, export settings, and platform-specific delivery requirements.
Understanding of frame rates, resolutions, aspect ratios, and best practices for different social media platforms.
Ability to maintain high-quality output while working efficiently.
Creative Requirements
Excellent taste in music and soundtrack selection.
Strong sound design skills, including the use of sound effects, transitions, ambience, and audio enhancement.
Understanding of current social media trends and how to adapt content for maximum engagement.
Ability to think creatively while maintaining brand consistency.
Team & Workflow
Ability to work closely with videographers, content creators, marketers, and other team members.
Comfortable receiving feedback and implementing revisions quickly.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise deadlines.
Capable of delivering high-quality content in a fast-paced environment without compromising standards.
Reliable, proactive, and able to turn around edits quickly when required.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who understands that great content is a combination of editing, storytelling, colour, music, sound design, and strategy. You should have a strong creative eye, work well within a team, and be able to consistently deliver polished content at speed.
