Complete Classroom Services are working in partnership with a highly successful and well-regarded independent school to recruit an outstanding Teacher of PE with a specialism in Netball for a full-time maternity cover position commencing in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified PE Teacher to join a passionate, high-performing department where sport plays a central role in school life. The successful candidate will lead the school's Netball programme, inspire students both in lessons and through extra-curricular sport, and represent the school at competitive fixtures and tournaments throughout the academic year.
Please note: This role is suitable for qualified teachers only and is not suitable for ECTs or Sports Coaches.
The Role
As Teacher of PE, you will:
- Deliver high-quality PE and Games lessons across a broad range of activities, with a particular focus on Netball
- Lead and develop the school's Netball programme across multiple age groups
- Coach teams and attend fixtures, competitions and tournaments throughout the year
- Promote participation in sport and encourage students to engage in extra-curricular activities
- Take on Form Tutor responsibilities and contribute to the pastoral life of the school
- Work collaboratively within a successful and ambitious PE department
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching PE across secondary age ranges
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge and practical expertise in Netball
- Has experience coaching and leading competitive school teams
- Is passionate about promoting sport, fitness and wellbeing
- Brings energy, enthusiasm and professionalism to every aspect of school life
- Is committed to supporting students both academically and pastorally
