We are seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Officer to support the delivery of engaging content across a range of social media channels. This role combines content creation, community management, campaign support and performance monitoring to help grow audience engagement and enhance brand visibility.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 6 weeks with a pay rate of £18.80 per hour + holiday pay
Key Duties:
- Create and schedule content across social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, X, Bluesky and YouTube
- Support the day-to-day management of social media channels and audience engagement activities
- Monitor channels for reputational issues and escalate concerns where necessary
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to source and develop content
- Produce and edit short-form video and visual content for social media campaigns
- Track content performance and contribute to reporting and insight generation
- Support delivery of campaigns and key organisational events across social media channels
- Ensure all content aligns with brand, accessibility and editorial guidelines
Selection Criteria:
- Experience creating and managing social media content in a professional environment
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and current digital trends
- Experience using video and image editing tools such as Canva, Premiere Pro or similar
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of community management and audience engagement best practice
