We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver/ loader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting meat products efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Load and unload goods, requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Deliver products to customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays
- Assist in warehouse activities when required, including stock organisation and inventory checks
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Valid driver’s licence, preferably with a <PERSON> driver qualification or equivalent
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently

The job is Monday to Saturday, 5.30-14.00 Monday to Friday, 5.30 to 11.30 on a Saturday.
