The Role of the Support Worker/Care Assistant:
The role of the Support Worker/Care Assistant is very rewarding and varied. Every person you care for is an individual with their own personal needs and personality, and your care will be tailored to meet these needs.
This is a very rewarding and varied job where you are a vital person in the lives of your clients so they can lead as independent and fulfilled lives as possible.
Experience not necessary, full training provided. Driving license essential.
Duties of the Care Assistant:
- Personal Care
- Prompting and administering medication
- Getting to know your clients and forming great relationships with them
- Basic meal preparation
- General household tasks including shopping
Hours: The job is full time on 39-52 hours over a 2 week rotation. :
Week 1: Mon/Tues/Sat/Sun - 7am-2pm & 4pm-10pm
Week 2: Wed/Thurs/Fri - 7am-2pm & 4pm-10pm
Part time hours are also available, but must be within the above rotation.

Criteria of the Care Assistant:
- Driving License essential
- Be caring, empathetic and respectful
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Be willing to have a Disclosure Barring service check completed
- Be passionate about care and be willing to develop further skills.
- Be friendly and supportive towards vulnerable adults.
- Show the ability to build relationships with those you will support and those around them.
- Show service users, compassion and understanding when working with others.
- Show understanding about the responsibility of the job role.
