The Supply Room are recruiting for Classroom based Youth Mentors (Classroom-Based) to join our client schools in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
These are full-time positions starting in September 2026, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with a competitive daily rate of £95 to £100 per day.
The Role: This rewarding opportunity involves supporting students in either Primary or Secondary settings.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.
You will support students both in and out of the classroom, assist with behaviour management, encourage engagement in learning, and help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where young people can thrive.
Who We're Looking For: We welcome applications from candidates with previous experience working with children, as well as support workers, care workers, tutors, sports coaches, psychology graduates, mentors, and anyone with a genuine interest in supporting young people with additional learning or behavioural needs.
Successful applicants will demonstrate strong behaviour management skills, reliability, punctuality, full-time availability, and a desire to build a long-term career within education.
