Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Joinery Workshop Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workshop activities, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader with a strong background in joinery, process optimisation, and supply chain management to contribute to the growth and efficiency of our operations.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate all workshop activities, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Implement process improvements to optimise workflow, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.
- Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the manufacturing process, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Manage supply chain logistics, including procurement, stock levels, and supplier relationships.
- Supervise Joinery processes, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety regulations.
- Train and develop workshop staff in technical skills, safety procedures, and process enhancements.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and support organisational goals.
- Process procurement requests from Foremen, Project Managers, and Senior Management in accordance with company procurement procedures.
Communicate effectively with workshop staff, ensuring tasks, priorities, and expectations are clearly understood
Experience
- Proven experience in managing a joinery or woodwork workshop.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative working environment. - Strong technical knowledge of bespoke joinery manufacturing processes and materials.
