We are looking to employ a passionate and hard-working individual to take on the role as a qualified pharmacy dispenser in our Pharmacy, on-site training will be provided. The candidate will need to be a quick learner and able to carry out tasks efficiently at a fast-paced environment.
Pro script PMR experience is preferred.
Must be qualified - NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing / Pharmacy Services
Full-time/Part-time position - 20-40 hours/week
Main responsibilities:
- Prepare & dispense prescriptions by counting pills, labelling original packs and bottles
- Carry out administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy - data entry, update patient records, vaccination records
- Prepare blister packs for various patients, including vulnerable people.
- Gather, organise and assess patient information, maintain electronic patient information, and receive and input prescription orders
- Ensure compliance by monitoring the prescription-filing and claiming process
- Inform and educate patients, answering their questions and offering advice for minor ailments
- Liaise directly with healthcare providers, pharmacy management teams and patients, communicating clearly and effectively.
- Take an inventory of medications and place orders to maintain stock, keeping detailed records of expiry data
- Price medications and complete patient sales and transactions for over-the-counter medications
- Keep the Shop, Dispensary and Staff areas clean and tidy at all times, including regular deep cleaning of the Pharmacy premises
- Work according to SOPs and GDPR guidelines at all times.
