We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with strong milling expertise to develop and optimize machining programs to produce precision parts. The ideal candidate is proficient in CAD/CAM software, able to build 3D models from customer-supplied 2D drawings, and capable of translating those models into efficient, production-ready toolpaths.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate 3D CAD models from customer-provided 2D drawings, sketches, or specifications
- Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for milling operations (3-axis and multi-axis as applicable)
- Generate toolpaths and G-code using Fusion 360 and comparable CAM software
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications to plan machining strategies
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and fixturing to minimise cycle time
- Verify programs through simulation and first-article inspection before production release
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs to resolve dimensional or surface-finish problems
- Maintain documentation, setup sheets, and a well-organized program/tool library
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience programming CNC milling machines
- Proficiency with Fusion 360 and similar CAD/CAM packages (e.g. Mastercam, SolidCAM, HyperMill)
