Job Description
Passionate about research, data and movies? This job combines all three: helping movie and TV studios to analyse their campaigns.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented person to join our innovative Digital Marketing Insight agency to help us analyse and provide insight to movie studios and TV channels on their campaigns.
The Digital Research Executive role represents an exciting opportunity to develop your research, written communication and analytical skills. We believe you should be given a chance to demonstrate your potential, so we provide you with significant early responsibility for owning complex projects, managing accounts and delivering client insight, with support, feedback and guidance from senior staff.
From day one, you will get substantial exposure to clients and client-facing work, so strong project/time/task management, dedication and attention to detail are crucial. Alongside this, we offer a good salary and rapid career development, and support you with training and mentorship.
Key responsibilities
The Digital Research Executive is responsible for:
- Writing client reports: turning complex streams of raw data and qualitative research into an engaging and insightful narrative that delivers customer insight of exceptional quality
- Project management: managing a diverse network of resources to complete projects within tight timelines
- Liaising with clients to build and interpret needs, developing research/project plans which will meet their objectives
Knowledge, experience and skills:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Strong academic track record gained in a demanding university environment
- Excellent report writing skills in English: able to craft a compelling and concise story/message from disparate sources of information and able to present ideas in a clear and easily understood manner
- Numerate and comfortable with analysis
- Knowledge of and interest in entertainment and the digital landscape
- Rigorous standards of performance with high attention to detail
- Skilled at managing projects to challenging deadlines
- Ability to work in additional languages is also advantageous, but not required
We are looking for strong core skills and potential. Some aspects of the role will be learned on the job, and we do not expect candidates to have experience in everything listed.
We aim to create an environment where people from a wide range of backgrounds can do their best work and develop professionally, and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
How to apply:
Please apply with a copy of your CV and a short written statement of two short paragraphs in PDF or DOCX format covering:
- Your interest and motivation: What appeals to you about this role and the work described above
- Your relevant experience and what you’d like to learn: The experience you feel has best prepared you for this role, and the areas of the role you expect to learn more about if successful
We are interested in how you engage with the work and connect your experience to the role, and in your ability to reflect on your development. We do not expect applicants to have experience in every aspect of the role, and we value clarity and relevance over perfect writing at this stage.
Context
Founded in 2003, WaveMetrix is a global leader in Digital Insight, working with many of the world’s top entertainment brands.
We have a particular focus on the entertainment industry, working with many of Hollywood’s leading studios, streamers and networks on global blockbusters. Research Executives (REs) are the core of our business. The role is a great opportunity to grow professionally, with real responsibility, as REs work on every stage of a project, from proposal, through to managing teams of analysts, report writing and presentation of a completed project.
We believe that access to both home and office environments is beneficial, as both can be preferable for different types of work and different people. Fundamentally, we want you to do the best work you can, and that typically doesn’t require us prescribing a location where the work is done. We do ask employees to come into the office each Tuesday, as it lets us co-ordinate well and do in-person training.
Please note that we are not offering work visa sponsorship for this role.
