Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Pool Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool users. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and providing assistance in emergency situations. Duties
- Monitor pool activities continuously to prevent accidents and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for all patrons.
- Conduct routine safety checks of the pool area, including equipment and surrounding facilities.
- Provide first aid or CPR as required, ensuring swift action in emergency situations.
- Assist swimmers with safety concerns or difficulties, offering guidance and support.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
- Record incident reports accurately when necessary, ensuring proper documentation of any incidents or accidents.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the facility.
Qualifications
- Valid lifeguard certification recognised by relevant authorities, including CPR and first aid training.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential hazards quickly.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patrons and team members.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure during emergency situations.
- Physically fit, with the stamina to perform continuous surveillance and respond swiftly when needed.
