Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team at our newly refurbished Residential Care Home Hesslewood House, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various units. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating tidy, welcoming environments. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude to ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently met. Hesslewood House is part of national and Regional award winning care provider Strong Life Care.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Ensure all surfaces are kept free of dust, dirt, and stains using appropriate cleaning agents
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good condition and notify when supplies need replenishing
Skills
- Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Experience in hotel or hospitality cleaning is advantageous
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Additional skills such as cooking or customer service experience are considered beneficial but are not mandatory

Pay: £12.21-£17.76 per hour
