Red Rock Partnership are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Sherburn in Elmet who are looking for Food Production Operatives to join their busy team.
About The Role:
This is a temporary position. The role offers an excellent opportunity to transfer to a permanent contract after 12 weeks of work for the right candidates.
Working Monday to Friday on a 3 rotating shift pattern which will be 6am to 2pm, 10pm to 6am and 2pm to 10pm rotating each week.
Pay Rates are £13.35ph and increase to £13.55hr after 12 weeks.
Overtime is paid at 1.5x over 40 hours a week & 2.0x over 48 hours.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for carrying out duties such as scooping & packing boxes, inspecting product, moving stock and cleaning.
- You will receive training and the more commitment you demonstrate; the more skills you will have the opportunity to gain. This could mean you getting involved in weighing raw ingredients, mixing recipes, baking products, being involved in producing excellent products and quality checking the products.
- Hygiene is a large part of the role, so you must be willing to carry out cleaning tasks & be trained in how to do this to a food safety standard.
- The role does include some heavy lifting in some departments.
- As this is a food production site, you will need to adhere to strict hygiene policies.
- Previous experience within the food industry would be an advantage
- Full Training will be provided.
About you:
- Good English language skills both verbal and written
- Can demonstrate working in a safe manner, including good H&S practices, accurate and pays attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure with a good attitude to work and reliability.
- Knowledge of and or experience of working in a FMCG/Warehouse would be advantageous, though full training is provided
