About Us
We're an independent bottle shop and bar where London and Brazil meet.
We're a small business built around great beer, good conversation, music, culture and hospitality. We stock a carefully curated range of independent beers from the UK and beyond, alongside wine, cocktails and soft drinks.
We're looking for someone to join us at an exciting stage and help shape the future of the business.
The Role
This is a customer-facing role in a small independent venue. You'll be serving drinks, helping customers discover new beers, maintaining the shop, receiving deliveries, managing stock and creating an atmosphere that keeps people coming back.
A big part of the role is hosting customers. We want people to feel welcomed, looked after and excited about what they discover here.
You'll be expected to actively engage with customers, recommend products, encourage sales and help create a lively, welcoming and memorable environment.
Responsibilities
- Serving draught beer, wine, cocktails and soft drinks
- Advising customers on beer selections and styles
- Actively promoting products and driving sales
- Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- Building relationships with regular customers
- Processing sales through the till
- Receiving and organising deliveries
- Restocking shelves and fridges
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards
- Assisting with tastings, events and live music evenings
- Opening and closing duties when required
What We're Looking For
More than anything, we're looking for someone who enjoys people.
The ideal candidate is friendly, curious and naturally enjoys conversation. Someone who can make customers feel welcome, build relationships with regulars and help create the atmosphere that makes people want to come back.
An interest in craft beer is important, but a willingness to learn is even more important. We can teach products, styles and breweries.
We're looking for someone who is curious about the world around them. Someone interested in people, stories, ideas and conversation.
Every customer is different. Some people want to talk about beer, others about music, food, travel, politics, football or what's happening in the neighbourhood. The ideal candidate is a good listener, enjoys meeting new people and can make anyone feel welcome.
Experience is desirable, but not essential. Personality, hospitality, communication skills and enthusiasm matter far more.
