Summary
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all aspects of building maintenance and grounds management. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, welcoming and impeccably presented environment for both guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of building maintenance, including painting, general repairs, plumbing.
- Oversee grounds maintenance, ensuring outdoor spaces are tidy, safe, and in keeping with the hotel’s high standards.
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.
- Support health & safety compliance, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
- Provide occasional support to other hotel owned sites in Cardiff
About You
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably within the hospitality or leisure sector.
- Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Full UK driving licence (essential, due to occasional site visits).
- Professional, hands-on, and committed to high standards.
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing) would be advantageous.
