What will I be doing?
You’ll be carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments across a wide variety of client sites including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and public sector environments.
Working independently across the field, you’ll be responsible for delivering structured, high-quality assessments in line with recognised industry standards and our UKAS-accredited quality system.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments across a range of building types
- Assessing hot and cold-water systems, storage, distribution pipework, and associated risks
- Identifying and evaluating Legionella hazards within water systems
- Producing detailed, professional technical reports
- Providing clear recommendations for remedial actions
- Communicating findings confidently with clients and stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274 Part 2, BS 8580-1, and relevant guidance
- Working within a structured internal QA process
- Travelling across London and wider UK locations as required
What do I need to be successful?
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor
- Strong understanding of water systems and Legionella control principles
- Experience working to ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8580-1 standards
- Ability to produce high-quality technical reports
- Strong communication skills with clients and stakeholders
- Confident using digital reporting systems
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Legionella Risk Assessor qualification (City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc or equivalent)
- Background in water engineering, PPM maintenance, or building services
- Experience working within a UKAS-accredited environment
If you’re experienced but not yet certified, we can support you with qualification training.
All roles are subject to a DBS check, which we’ll arrange and pay for if needed.
