Jardinopia is a rapidly growing privately owned multi-award winning designer and manufacturer of home and garden gift products, headquartered in Ross on Wye, and with operations in Virginia USA and Jodhpur India. We also have a shop in Ledbury HR8 1BT.
We sell our products directly to Trade (to companies like Next, Waitrose and Kew Gardens & the National Trust), to Distributors & Wholesalers overseas, at Consumer Shows (such as RHS Chelsea Flower Show and BBC Gardener's World Live), as well as through e-Commerce sites and 3rd party marketplaces. We successfully launched our chain of bricks and mortar destination shops - with Ledbury being the first in April 2023. We are looking to create 5-6 such unique and individual shops throughout the UK within independent store focussed market towns and also Garden Centre Franchises. We launched Ross-On-Wye in May 2026.
We are now seeking a Shop Assistant to work on a rota basis for this new location. An ideal candidate will have proven shop assistant or shop management experience, are able to operate independently and confidently, and have a background in garden & or/home products. It would be fantastic if you have vintage/antique sales experience too! They will be great at working with shop customers, helping them to select advising them & generally making our shop and warehouse a wonderful place to visit. We will also ask you to support other roles as and when required, such as picking and packing, unloading and so on, in order to provide cover support for holidays and absences. However, the most important things for us when searching for new Jardinopia team members are reliability, honesty, a passion for the role and products, and the desire and ability to quickly learn on the job. This position is for those looking for either Part Time or Full Time Shop Assistant roles & we will consider hiring 2 people. We would anticipate hours amounting to 20-30 a week per person if part time, and 36+ for full time, with some weekend work required on a rota basis.
