We’re a small, independent shop with a loyal customer base and a reputation for top-quality meats and great service —and we’re looking for a Counter Assistant to join us in the new year as we continue our exciting journey.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Welcoming customers and offering knowledgeable, personal service
- Assisting with the sale of fresh meats, and other products
- Preparing and packaging orders with care and attention to detail
- Keeping the shop clean, tidy, and beautifully presented
- Supporting the team with stock rotation and replenishing stock
- Handling payments and the keeping the counter area looking tip-top

- Confidence in customer service and basic retail skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Willingness to learn about our products and share that knowledge
- Reliability, punctuality, and pride in your work
- Previous experience in food retail or butchery is a bonus—but heart and hustle matter most

Min hours: 37.5hours
Availability: This is a full time position working any 5 days out of 7 so not suitable for students
Weekend working is essential on a rota basis.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
