Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the restaurant or hospitality venue, ensuring smooth service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Manage team members, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to promote a motivated and efficient workforce.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across all areas of the establishment.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to oversee food production, ensuring timely service during busy periods.
- Monitor customer service levels, addressing any issues promptly to uphold guest satisfaction.
- Implement operational policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
- Maintain stock levels, order supplies as needed, and manage inventory control.
- Foster a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and excellent hospitality.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry, ideally in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
- Experience in managing teams within fast-paced environments such as restaurants or hotels.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Previous roles involving food production, serving, or kitchen management are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hospitality operations including barista experience or hotel management is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities effectively.
