As our Senior Legal Counsel (Group),you’ll be part of the Legal team working closely with brilliant people across the business. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.

This role plays a pivotal part in driving our consumer centric strategy. Everything you do will help elevate the DM experience - whether you’re enabling teams,improving processes,influencing decision making,or crafting moments that matter for our consumers around the globe.
You’ll help us push boundaries,raise the bar,and keep the spirit of DM alive in everything we deliver.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
As our Senior Legal Counsel (Group),you will be responsible for:

Commercial legal partnering: Provide pragmatic,high-quality legal advice across Group functions and strategic projects; draft,review and negotiate complex commercial contracts (technology,SaaS,procurement,outsourcing); partner with senior stakeholders and support global initiatives and cross-border matters.

Governance & legal operations: Drive standardisation and efficiency through templates,processes and legal operations; optimise contract lifecycle management,reporting and global service delivery; ensure compliance through monitoring,training and stakeholder guidance.

Leadership & delivery excellence: Lead and develop the legal team (Counsel,Paralegal),manage external counsel effectively,and foster a high-performing,collaborative culture while ensuring prioritised,scalable support to Group and market teams.
KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

Qualified commercial lawyer: UK-qualified (or equivalent) PQE,strong technical expertise in commercial law and complex contract negotiation; in-house,procurement and technology contracting experience desirable.

Commercially astute & influential: Balances legal risk with business priorities,confidently influences senior stakeholders,and communicates complex issues clearly and concisely.

High-performing & values-driven: Organised,adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments; demonstrates initiative,problem-solving and strategic thinking,while role-modelling values and fostering an inclusive,collaborative culture.
