FS Engineering, based in Bicester and Oxford, provides tailored fire engineering solutions for clients who require flexible, non-standard system design and support. As our workload continues to grow, we are looking for a Fire Detection Engineer to join our expanding team.
What we’re looking for
- Practical experience with fire detection systems
- Strong understanding of Kentec control panels using Hochiki/Apollo protocol
- Familiarity with EN54 and NFPA72 standards
- Ability to read and work from AutoCAD drawings
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word
- Able to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
- Background in electrical engineering is preferred

Key responsibilities
- Interpreting design documents and commissioning fire detection and alarm systems, primarily within petrochemical and power generation environments
- Producing panel drawings and related documentation
- Hands‑on wiring and assembly of bespoke panels and associated equipment
- Supporting general workshop tasks when required
- Occasional UK travel and some overseas commissioning work
- Occasional short‑notice site visits or extended hours
This role is based in Upper Heyford (OX25) and operates Monday to Friday.
Pay: £30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
