NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapies provides evidence-based treatments such as CBT, IPT, Counselling for Depression for anxiety or depression and can also help people who have a comorbid long term physical health conditions. We are currently seeking Team/Locality Lead to join the service.
We are seeking a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, CBT Therapist or other High Intensity Talking Therapies Practitioner to join our leadership team on a part time basis.
This is an opportunity for someone with NHS experience and who is used to working in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and progress their career. You will have supervision experience and strong clinical experience across a range of care settings and demonstratable supervision experience.
As a leader, you will have your own clinical caseload to maintain and enhance your clinical skills. The responsibilities of the role include:
Making decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the service referral criteria/protocols, accepting referrals or referring patients onto the relevant service or back to the referrer as necessary.
To carry out highly specialist psychological assessments of patients referred to the service.
To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options, including discharge taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models
To carry out risk assessments as per Trust policy and advise other team members on issues relating to patient risk when requested
To provide a high-quality psychological treatment service in the form of one-to-one treatment, group treatment, over the telephone or online
