We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate freelance Dental Nurse to join our dental team The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and setting up necessary equipment
- Provide excellent patient care, including explaining procedures and offering reassurance
- Take and develop dental radiographs as required
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control in accordance with health regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence
- Ensure the clinic remains organised, clean, and well-stocked with supplies
Experience
- Prior experience in a dental or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically to patients
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Basic IT proficiency for managing patient records and appointment scheduling
- Knowledge of patient care principles and nursing practices relevant to dental care is advantageous
