Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bank Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care on an ad hoc basis within our healthcare facility. The successful candidate will support our clinical team by delivering patient-centred care, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring the well-being of all patients. This role offers flexible working hours to accommodate varying staffing needs, making it ideal for experienced nurses seeking additional or temporary work.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their stay
- Assist with clinical procedures and support medical staff as required
- Administer medications accurately in accordance with prescribed instructions
- Monitor patient vital signs and observe for any changes in condition
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Support infection control protocols and uphold hygiene standards within the clinical environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of care plans
- Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate concerns to senior staff when necessary
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse qualification recognised within the UK (NMC registration)
- Proven experience in patient care, preferably within hospital or community settings
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Competence in medication administration and understanding of relevant safety protocols
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing clinical environments
