Dunniwood Lodge is a warm, welcoming care home in Doncaster, providing residential, dementia, and respite care in a friendly, community‑focused setting.
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Carer to join our team, supporting residents while providing guidance and leadership to colleagues on shift.
The Role
As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care while supporting the wider team.
You will:
- Provide compassionate personal care, promoting dignity and independence
- Support and guide Care Assistants on shift
- Assist with coordinating daily care tasks and shift priorities
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report concerns appropriately
- Support care planning and maintain accurate records
- Assist with medication (where trained and competent)
- Help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
About You
- Experience in a care setting, ideally as a Senior Carer or with leadership responsibilities
- Confident supporting and guiding colleagues
- Strong communication and decision‑making skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and person‑centred
- Able to work as part of a team and take initiative
