Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen operation to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Develop and implement innovative menus in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Ensure all food safety standards and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to optimise kitchen operations
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with strong team management skills
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation standards
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Previous experience in food production, culinary arts, or hospitality is essential
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of quality and service
- A passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and a keen eye for detail
