Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Telephone Fundraiser to join our Dogs Trust fundraising team. The ideal candidate will have previous fundraising/regular giving experience, a proven track record in sales and a passion for Dogs.
- Every week 1000 people are making the call to give up their dog.
- While most dogs find a loving new home within about six weeks, some dogs need love and support for longer.
- Dogs Trust rely on sponsorships to look after the 1600 dogs in our care at any one time.
This role involves engaging with potential supporters over the phone to raise vital regular funding for our Sponsor a Dog campaign. The successful candidate will play a key part in building relationships with donors, promoting our mission, and ensuring the continued success of our regular giving campaign. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about animal welfare, with strong communication and experience in telesales allowing you to contribute from the comfort of your home while making a meaningful difference.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to potential supporters to promote Dogs Trust’s Sponsor a Dog campaign.
- Build positive relationships with donors, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement
- Utilise CRM software, to record interactions accurately and manage supporter data effectively
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing supporter queries professionally and courteously
- Collaborate with team members to meet fundraising targets and contribute to organisational goals
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Dogs Trust’s activities, campaigns, and policies to communicate confidently with supporters
Requirements
- Proven experience in telephone fundraising, telesales preferably within a fundraising or charity environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate supporters over the phone
- Familiarity with CRM software
- Ability to work independently from home with reliable internet connectivity and a suitable workspace
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage time effectively in a remote setting
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and supporting charitable causes is essential

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
