Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting meal preparation, food safety, and serving duties within a busy kitchen environment. Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and food presentation, ensuring dishes meet quality standards
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and kitchen procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food assembly for various menu items
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Support catering events by preparing and organising food supplies as required
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and maintaining hygiene standards throughout the kitchen
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of ingredients
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the kitchen setting
- A genuine interest in culinary arts and providing excellent service to customers or clients
