Bowland Stone is a family owned manufacturer of wetcast concrete products. We produce a wide variety of paving, copings, stepping stones and hard landscaping products from our new purpose built production facility in Bristol.
Summary
To lead and coordinate daily operations within the wetcast production area, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards. The Team Leader will supervise operatives, maintain workflow, and drive continuous improvement in productivity and safety.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading daily production activities in a wetcast concrete facility
- Supervising and motivating a team of operatives to meet production targets
- Allocating work and managing workflow to maximise efficiency
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with health & safety standards
- Monitoring product quality and resolving any issues quickly
- Delivering team briefings and supporting training and development
- Working closely with maintenance, quality, and management teams
- Driving continuous improvement and lean practices across the production area
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Previous experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Hands-on, proactive approach with good problem-solving ability
- Forklift or lifting equipment certification
Desirable
- Experience in wetcast, precast, or concrete production
- Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement experience
Working Environment
This is a factory-based role in a wet cast production environment. You should be comfortable working in these conditions, with a role that involves both supervision and hands-on activity.
Pay: From £42,000.00 per year
