SupportED Recruitment is a family run recruitment agency which supplies Teachers and Teaching assistants to a large number of Primary Schools in York and the surrounding areas. We are excited to be adding another member to our recruitment team to cover a maternity leave position. This could be an excellent opportunity for a graduate to take their first steps into the recruitment / business world.
Hours - Full Time:
- Monday - Friday 9.30-4.30pm
- In term-time this will include some early morning & evening responsibilities with out of hours requests
- Reduced flexible hours in school holidays
The role:
At Supported Recruitment we pride ourselves on creating positive, professional relationships with both our schools and workers. You will help us to continue to develop these positive relationships by:
- Using candidate databases to match the right person to ongoing supply requirements
- Reviewing applications, telephone interviewing and conducting candidate registrations interviews.
- Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants through a strict compliance process.
- Preparing the candidate and supporting them through long and short term assignments
- Shortlisting and organising interviews for long term assignments
- Using sales, business development and marketing techniques and networking opportunities to attract business from client schools.
- Visiting clients to build and develop close working relationships.
- Developing a good understanding of the schools we work with and who they are.
- Using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships with candidates, employers, and the teaching professionals.
The successful applicant will have/be:
- Ideally experience in recruitment and / or teaching
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to grow an existing desk.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- An ability to organise their own workload and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and resilient.
- Work from your own initiative.
- Be able to create and maintain relationships with schools and teachers.
- Work effectively as part of a small motivated team.
