This position is to work within a three-person drilling team, installing drainage pipelines throughout the UK on various construction sites via various trenchless methods. To be completed in a timely and efficient manner to fulfil customer commitments and expectations.
Role and Responsibilities
This role is varied and requires flexibility to undertake additional duties as required, the role and responsibilities will include;
- Operate plant, machinery and tools only if you are trained to do so in a safe and efficient manner;
- Drive vehicles and carry out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, including routine maintenance (e.g. oil, water checks) and cleaning;
- Take responsibility for the safety of yourself and others within your team to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and safe operation to protect members of the public;
- Report near misses;
- Follow company policies and procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when relevant;
- Promote a positive image of the company.
Essential skills/qualifications
- CSCS Card;
- Driving licence;
- Must be prepared to work away as required;
- A methodical approach to processes;
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of their role within the business and demonstrate that they will undertake it accurately and diligently;
- An enthusiastic and proactive attitude, must be reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines;
- Good communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships.
Desirable skills/qualifications
- Demonstrate previous experience working in a similar construction role;
- CS1 Confined Space Entry with Escape Sets.
- Experience with drilling, boring or trenchless installation equipment.
- Plant tickets and other relevant site qualifications.
- Welding and Fabrication experience for all abilities and experience levels.
Salary
£29,000.00 – £32,000.00 per year (dependent on working away, qualifications and previous experience).
