Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off (6:45 am – 7:00 pm)
Reports to: Operations Manager
Ready to run a fast-paced, fresh produce operation where no two days are the same?
At Abbey View Produce Ltd, we’re looking for a hands-on Shift Production Manager to take control of our packhouse production floor, while maximising raw material usage whilst minimising the risk of rejections and customer complaints in the most efficient manner.
This is not a desk job. You’ll be on the floor, leading teams, solving problems in real time, and making sure we deliver quality product to our customers every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking full ownership of the daily production plan by balancing orders, shelf life, and raw material
- Leading teams consisting of line managers, line operators, and operatives to deliver results
- Keeping lines running efficiently and stepping in fast when things go wrong
- Driving high standards in KPI, food safety, quality, and traceability
- Working closely with QA, Planning, and Engineering, to keep everything aligned
- Reduce waste, improve efficiency, and push continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Production Manager experience (food or fresh produce preferred)
- A natural leader who gets the best out of people
- Calm under pressure and quick to make decisions
- Highly organised, but flexible when plans change (because they will)
- Passionate about KPI, targets, quality and doing things the right way
