Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher specialising in Musical Theatre to join our dynamic educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging dance classes that inspire students of various ages and abilities, fostering their creativity and confidence through the art of musical theatre dance. Saturday's 9.30-12.30pm on Hemel Hempstead
During term time including half term

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver comprehensive musical theatre dance lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and enjoyment.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special educational needs or behavioural challenges, ensuring all pupils can participate fully.
- Incorporate elements of acting, singing, and choreography into dance sessions to provide a holistic musical theatre experience.
- Prepare students for performances or showcases by rehearsing routines and coordinating group activities.
- Maintain classroom organisation, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, event organisation
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behaviour as required.
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching dance, particularly within musical theatre or performing arts settings.
- Strong communication skills to engage students effectively and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Experience working with children, including those with special educational needs or behavioural difficulties.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies to maintain discipline while encouraging creativity.
- Ability to adapt lesson plans for diverse learning styles and abilities.
