You'll be working with one of the UK's leading electrical wholesalers.
In this role, you’ll support the Branch Manager in keeping the branch running smoothly while helping to grow sales and maintaining a high level of service for both trade and walk-in customers. You’ll play a hands-on role across the sales floor, the trade counter, and the internal team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation and overall performance of the branch
- Supporting customers directly on the trade counter and helping the internal sales team when required
- Developing strong working relationships with electrical contractors and repeat trade customers
- Preparing quotations, processing orders, and dealing with pricing queries
- Helping to manage stock levels, product displays, and supplier orders
- Supporting the training and development of staff and helping with team scheduling
- Contributing to sales targets and helping to improve overall branch performance
- Making sure company procedures and health & safety standards are followed at all times
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in an electrical wholesaler
- Has worked in trade counter sales, internal sales, or a supervisory position
- Has good knowledge of electrical products such as lighting, cabling, containment, and switchgear
- Is confident dealing with trade customers and building long-term relationships
- Has a proactive, hands-on attitude and is comfortable supporting a team
- Understands the commercial side of a branch environment
- Is organised and communicates well with both customers and colleagues
